Roanoke, VA – Roanoke Police say they will not file charges right now against a resident who shot and killed a person who tried to break inside a home. Officers responded to a home on Ferncliff Avenue a little before midnight.
They say it appears someone was trying to break into the home and was shot by a person inside.
The suspect was found near the home and pronounced dead at the hospital.
The name of the person killed has not been released.
